Mr. GeorgeK. Chen, the first Asian American mayor of Torrance, USA, signed an international friendship city agreement with Tainan City Hall on the 13th, and Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-chieh said that the two cities are expecting to have multi-level exchanges in fields of technology, economy, culture, and education in the future after signing the alliance.
On the 14th, Mayor Chen and his wife paid a special visit to the American ReBlood Group in Tainan, placing the Group at the top of their itinerary to arouse echo in the Mayor’s emphasis on health care for the elderly in his political views. The attendees include Overseas Chinese Advisor Min-Fen Yeh, CEO Chen Hsiao-Chang and Secretary General Cheng Tsung-Yi of Taiwan Eastbound Alliance-Landing America(TEALA), and CEO Peng Sheng-Wei of the Innovation Headquarters at National Cheng Kung University, who gathered to discuss the possibilities of applying the post-epidemic industrial restructuring to cellular industry and anti-aging issues and to further exchanges on this basis of these aspects.
