Why store peripheral stem cells?

Upon receiving the blood product, the transportation personnel (maintaining the temperature between 15~25 degrees throughout the process) will first confirm the customer’s documents and their integrity.

After confirming that the information is correct and there are no abnormalities in the blood product, the product is wiped with 75% alcohol and transferred through a transfer box using a human-to-human method to the clean area.

Only personnel who have received professional training may enter the clean area while wearing dust-free clothing and passing through an Air Shower to reduce suspended dust to a minimum.

One blood product is handled by the same technician throughout the process on a sterile table to avoid confusion and contamination.

After the blood product has been processed, it is subjected to gradient cooling by a programmed cooling machine to -80 degrees and then stored in a -196 degree liquid nitrogen tank, allowing the cells to enter a dormant state.
